Alumnus Hu Jiqiang Donated 10 Million Yuan to Zhejiang University

On December 25, the President of Conba Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. Zhejiang University alumnus Hu Jiqiang made a donation of 10 million yuan to his alma mater to set up “Zhejiang University Education Foundation -- College of Pharmaceutical Sciences Education Foundation Conba Hu Jiqiang Fund”. The fund is to support the development, scientific research and personnel training of College of Pharmaceutical Sciences.
Party Secretary Jin Deshui accepted the donation on behalf of Zhejiang University, and presented a donation certificate to Hu Jiqiang. He expressed sincere thanks to Hu’s support to the construction and development of College of Pharmaceutical Sciences, and hoped that the fund would be made the best use of to help Zhejiang University achieve its goal of building a world-class university.
In his speech, Hu Jiqiang said, “Next year the 100th anniversary of the setting-up of pharmaceutical education at Zhejiang University. How can it develop in a better way? As an alumnus of College of Pharmaceutical Sciences, I hope my donation will encourage more alumni to support the development of the College.” He expressed his appreciation for the nurturing at Zhejiang University and his will to reward his alma mater with more efforts in the future.
 
The donation ceremony was presided over by Deputy Party Secretary Ren Shaobo.
