Students of PKU shine on the Doha Goals Forum
Doha Goals, an international summit in the sphere of sports, announced its inaugural, annual forum that took place from December 10-12, 2012. PKU, the only university that was invited in China, sent a delegation of 11 people.

Doha Goals Forum was created under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, the Emir of Qatar. Hundreds of influential celebrities, such as Carl Lewis, Nicolas Sarkozy, Ian James Thorpe and Oscar Pistorius, gathered together on the forum. Besides them, more than 400 students from colleges or high schools of all around the world were invited.
The forum talked about a range of sports topics including how sport promotes social progress, the innovation of Olympic, the good investment and brand building in sports, the Olympic legacy and sports moral maintenance.
As delegates of PKU, students from PKU actively presented their understanding about sports spirit and sports career. Among them, Fan Ye, a graduate student from School of Journalism and Communication, stood out. She brought up constructive advices about long-term development for retired athletes and orientation of athletes. As a special guest, she was invited to have an in-depth talk with Olympic gold medalists, officials of International Olympic Committee, and NGO leaders. Guests and delegates spoke highly of PKU students because of their outstanding performances.
