Programs and Duration of Study
Non-degree Programs
1.         Long-term Chinese Language and Culture Program (one semester or above)
ZSTU organizes language-teaching classes at elementary, intermediate and advanced levels each semester. Students are to be placed in classes that suit them best by taking a proficiency placement test at the beginning of each semester. A semester usually consists of 16 weeks with around 20 class hours of language courses per week. Field trips are arranged once or twice each semester.
2.         Short-term Chinese Language and Culture Program for Group Students
Courses and duration of study can be arranged to meet specific demands of the group, with language courses, lectures, in combination with after-class activities, field trips, and so on.
3.         Long-term Programs for General/Senior Scholars (one semester or above)
Students may select some subjects in undergraduate, master and doctoral degree, and take the courses together with ZSTU Chinese students; or do the internship under the guidance of ZSTU professors.
4.         Short-term Programs for Group General/Senior Scholars 
Courses and duration of study can be arranged to meet specific demands of the group, with specialized courses on undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral levels in combination with lectures, field trips, and so on.

1)        Chinese Language Program: RMB 14000/year (long-term); RMB 610/week (short-term)
2)        Bachelor’s Degree Candidate & General Scholar: RMB 15000/year (Liberal Arts), RMB 18000/year (Sci., Eng.), and RMB 22000/year (Art)
3)        Master’s Degree Candidate & Senior Scholar: RMB 25000/year (Liberal Arts, Sci., Eng., Art)
4)        Doctor’s Degree Candidate & Senior Scholar: RMB 30000 (Eng.)
5)        The English-instructed programs are charged an extra RMB 6,000 per academic year per student.
3.  Fees for study materials, insurance, residence permit application and others: Charged as requested
4.  Accommodation: RMB 800/month·person (single room); RMB 450/month·person (twin-bedded room) Each room is equipped with bathroom, furniture, beddings, A/C, telephone, TV set, ADSL, etc, and each floor is equipped with a public kitchen and a public laundry.

3.       Copy of Applicant’s Highest Diploma and Transcripts
4.       Copy of Chinese Proficiency Test (HSK) or English Proficiency Certificates (if applicable)
5.       Foreigner Physical Examination Form (the Form can be downloaded in http://admission.zstu.edu.cn/en/news.asp?id=3&type1=7)
6.       Applicants under the age of 18 should submit the legal documents of their legal guardians in China.
7.       Study certificate and transcript given by the previous university in China (if applicable)
8.       Recent Photo (white background, 35mm×45mm in size)

Notes:
1.       Language requirements for Chinese-medium degree students: HSK 3 and above or New HSK 4 with score 180 and above;
2.       Language requirements for English-medium degree students (at least meets one of the following language equivalents):
2.1   Graduate from high schools of English-speaking countries or where English is an official language;
2.2   TOEFL: 500 or above
2.3   IELTS: 5.5 or above
2.4   to pass the English Entry Exam given by Zhejiang Sci-Tech University
