The First International Chinese Studies Institute Opened in Zhuhai announced by Beijing normal university, zhuhai campus, July 18, 2012. And eleven foreign students have enrolled already, from Canada, Pakistan, Portugal etc.
 
According to the statement of the vice-president of Beijing normal university, zhuhai campus, the first international Chinese study classes began on July 14, 2012 and end on August 16, 2012. The teaching stuff includes the president of Canada Arcadia University of Liberal Arts, the director of Northeast Asia research center, professor Bai siren of History Department, professor Bao fanyu of Canada st Mary university modern language and Asia research center, Dr. Qiu yue of Beijing normal university, zhuhai campus. It sets up three courses: Chinese language and literature, Modern China and Contemporary China project---Business, Globalization and Economy. The Chinese language and literature consists of Chinese learning, including accurate pronunciation，speaking, writing and comprehension of basic expressions andmasterpiece of Chinese literature. Contemporary China project mainly focuses on some important themes from late 1980s to now. This Interdisciplinary course not only analysizes Economy, Business, Finance, Diplomacy, Laws, History and Culture, but also inspects some places of interest and local culture of business zones. All these courses are taught in English designed by Chinese professor of Canada and professors of Beijing normal university, zhuhai campus and the credit can turns into foreign college credit. It provides serious internship opportunities in China.
 
The International Chinese Studies Institute releases the language difference for foreign students, as foreign teachers proficient in Chinese, Chinese culture and history as Mr. China. They will narrate China in the perspective of foreigners different from traditional “Chinese talking China”.
 
According to the announcement of the vice-president of Beijing normal university, zhuhai campus, the International Chinese Studies Institute has been included in the school "1025 planning" key project.
