Five Zhejiang University Teachers Were Honored with Baosteel Education Award
Recently, 2012 Baosteel Education Award was announced. Prof. He Lianzhen of School of International Studies was awarded Baosteel Outstanding Teacher Grand Prize, and four teachers won Baosteel Outstanding Teacher Prize, including Lv Ping of Department of Chemistry, Ye Zhizhen of Department of Materials Science and Engineering, Yang Dongxiao of Department of Information Science and Electronic Engineering and Chen Ming of College of Life Sciences.
Established in 1990, Baosteel Education Award is one of the earliest and most renowned education awards in China. Among its awards, teacher award is meant to reward young and middle-aged teachers with long-term commitment to teaching. In 2012 a total of 249 teachers from national colleges and universities won Baosteel Outstanding Teacher Award; among them 9 were honored with Grand Prize and 8 won Grand Prize nomination.
