Indonesian Students Join Chinese Summer Camp

From July 1st to July 7th, 8 Indonesian students led by Ms. Huang Hongyan from Cerdas Bangsa College, joined Chinese Summer Camp in HUST and they had a wonderful week in Wuhan.

The Chinese Summer Camp aims at promoting Chinese language and culture as well as furthering the cultural exchanges between Cerdas Bangsa College in Indonesia and Huazhong University of Science and Technology in China. Students and teachers visited a series of distinctive scenic spots in Wuhan, including the Hubei Provincial Museum, the Yellow Crane Tower, Hubuxiang Lane and ferryboating across Yangtze River. Moreover, they went shopping and sightseeing in the Optical Valley, which helped them taste the uniqueness of Wuhan city. Apart from the outdoor activities, the university also arranged various kinds of cultural courses and extracurricular activities, such as learning Chinese Calligraphy, practicing paper cutting, experiencing traditional Chinese wedding. All the above activities benefited the Indonesian students in promoting their understandings about China as well as Chinese culture.

During the closing ceremony of the Chinese Summer Camp for Indonesian Students, the vice dean of School of International Education, Ms. Zhao Xiaofeng issued certificates for each student. The Indonesian students also performed and celebrated the success completion of their Chinese Summer Camp by reading poetry and singing Chinese songs, etc.
