Table Tennis Competition for Welcoming the HEU Anniversary
In response to the appeal for national fitness, the ‘Haoqi Cup’ table tennis tournament was held in the school gymnasium on June 30th, enriching the school’s table tennis amateur cultural life and creating a festive atmosphere for HEU’s upcoming 60th anniversary celebration.


This competition was sponsored by the school labor union, school sports department, school faculty table tennis association, and by Henghe Automation Control Co., LTD., along with HEU alumni XU Chengzhong and WANG Wentao. A total of 20 teams took part in the games and were formed by staff, students and retired veteran cadres and alumni.
After fierce competition, the alumni team ‘Cloud Valley’ won the group champion and the No 1 team from the College of Computer Science finished in second place; both Team 1 from Undergraduate Programs and Team 1 from Administration won the third place in group competition. The HEU student team, alumni ‘Cloud Valley’ team and Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT) team won the first 3 places in the invitational tournament.


This competition set up a platform for staff, students, alumni, and other enthusiasts of the university to exercise their skill, enrich the campus cultural life, promote sports activities between teachers and students, and increase the harmonious and joyful campus atmosphere among teachers and students while welcoming HEU’s 60th anniversary.
