The 2013 International Symposium on Chirality held at HEU
The 2013 International Symposium on Chirality was held from July 12th to July 13th in the Yangtze Hall of the Qihang Center. Vice President YANG YE attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech.
The symposium invited eight well-known foreign experts from Eberhard-Karls-Universitaet Tuebingen, the University of Vienna, Nagoya University, Tokyo Institute of Technology, Kochi University of Technology, Kanazawa University and Chiral Technologies Europe. Two Chinese experts from Peking University and HeFei University of Technology were also invited to the symposium. The ten experts each gave special reports.

YANG Ye expressed welcome to the distinguished guests. He hoped that this symposium would provide researchers on chirality at home and abroad with a free and high-quality academic exchange platform to promote cooperation between China and other advanced countries.
The participating experts mainly discussed the issue of asymmetry, especially in Molecular Chirality. The symposium facilitated cooperation on scientific research in the field of chirality, talent exchanges and joint training projects between HEU and institutions at home and abroad. HEU’s own academic status in the field of chirality was also lifted.
