The 'Best Voice of Guangdong University of Foreign Studies'

    Oct. 27th ---The final round of the 18th Annual  'Voice of Autumn'  Singing Contest hosted by the School Student Union and the Youth League was held in the Yunshan Auditorium on the evening of October 27th. Twenty contestants from all institutes gathered to bring out a feast of voices for the audience.
 
Judges for the competition were Professor Zhai Xuejing and Vice Professor Xi Jing from the Xing Hai Conservatory of Music, and Vice Professor Li Donglan from GDUFS`s College of Art. GDUFS`s Vice President Xu Guobin, Youth League Secretary Xie Xiulan, Director of Employment Guidance Center Zhao Ye, Executive Chairman of Guang Dong Student Union Yu Xiaolei, Zhang Xinyuan, Pan Lei and other members were also in attendance.
 
Throughout the evening, the versatile contestants won rounds of applause and cheers from the audience. Among them, Liang Niao won first prize for Professional Individuals by performing 'Bel Canto'.

At the same time, Wang Heqing, a contestant in the Amateur Individuals group, convinced the judges and audience by her outstanding performance and won the first prize for her category.

In the Teams Round, a team of two girls who called themselves AS, performed 'Rolling In The Deep' with their sensational voices. Their cooperation won them the first prize in the Amateur Teams category.

After the contest, judges commented that all the contestants had expressed their true emotions in their songs. They also suggested that the contestants should pay more attention to their songs rather than the ranks, because what the audience treasured most was the voices.
