The 2nd Sino-Foreign Postgraduate Research Forum of JU (Oct.29~Nov.2)

October 29th saw the opening ceremony of the 2nd Sino-Foreign Postgraduate Research Forum of Jiangsu University. President of JU---Prof. YUAN Shou-Qi---gave a directive opening speech, the invited experts in academic fields and leaders in administration fields witnessed the opening of the Forum. Throughout these five days, English was the only working language.

 
This Forum consisted of four Sub-Forums: Engineering Forum (I, II) on Oct. 29 after opening ceremony; Biology and Medicine Forum on Oct. 30; Finance and Management Forum on Oct. 31 and Cultural Exchange Forum on Nov. 1. During each Tea Break at each Forum, the audience graded or voted for the posters exhibited along the inside wall of the Conference Centre. Closing Ceremony was held on Nov. 2nd when graduate students performed talent show and awards were given to the excellent students or speakers.

 
Through the day(s) of listening, talking, exchanging ideas and communicating with each other, everybody agreed they learned or obtained a lot of information. The function of the 2nd China-Foreign Postgraduate Research Forum could be summarized as: on one hand, our domestic graduate students found a platform to show and verify their research results and exhibit themselves in an internationalized manner; on the other hand, besides the above-mentioned benefits, our overseas students got an opportunity to introduce and promote their native culture and opinions. The atmosphere had always been solemn, friendly and warm.
 
     While cherishing the memories, we want to proudly say that the 2nd China-Foreign Postgraduate Research Forum achieved remarkable success in promoting academic research and helping accelerate the internationalizing step of Jiangsu University.
