Chinese Calligraphy in Moldova
On November 7, 2012 - Confucius Institute at the Free International University of Moldova held a Photography Exhibition at the National Center for Children and Youth “ARTICO”. The event was attended by more than 100 people, including the Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Moldova, Mrs. Liu Yu, the Director of “ARTICO”, Mr. Sergiu Scarlat, Confucius Institutes teachers and students, as well as Chinese students who are currently studying in Moldova.
The event was held on the second floor of “ARTICO” building. In the exhibition hall there were displayed 60 pictures depicting different experiences about Chinese culture, and Chinese Lanterns were hanging in the hall as well. During the event many interesting programs were performed, such as Moldovan National Dance, Tai Ji Quan, Chinese paper Cutting, Chinese calligraphy, Mongolian National Dance, etc. All of the performances were warmly welcomed by the audience. Lastly, the National Center for Children and Youth “ARTICO” hopes for further cooperation with Confucius Institute, and thus makes plans to open Chinese Dance classes in their Center.
