Ceremony of 2013 Scholarships Students Successfully Held in Jiangsu University

At 9 o’clock in the morning on November 29, 2012, the overseas freshmen matriculation ceremony was held at the graduate conference hall. First, Present of Jiangsu University Yuan Shou-qi gave a very welcoming speech. He expressed his sincere greetings and hope to all the overseas new students. The representative of JU’s teaching staff gave a speech and expressed their heartful care for all the overseas students. Then the overseas student representatives SAMUEL, AFSAR and EDWIN gave the speech in turn. They expressed their appreciation for JU’s thoughtful arrangements and shared their experience in JU and meanwhile encouraged the new students, current students and themselves. Later at the ceremony, all the distinguished guests on the platform awarded different Scholarships to the winners. 9 students got the CSC Scholarship, 6 students got the Jiangsu Provincial Governmental Jasmine Scholarship, 6 students got the Confucius Institute Scholarship, 35 students got the President Scholarship of 2012, 40 students got the Academic Excellence Scholarship and 8 students got 2011-2012 Yearly Excellent Performance Scholarship. At last, Dean Gao introduced OEC’s development plans and regulations to all the OEC students and required OEC students to abide by them. She wished a happy life to the students here in Jiangsu University.
