Students of GU Won Awards in Contests of Collegiate Programming and Software Design

Students from School of Computer Science and Educational Software of Guangzhou University won two bronze medals in the Asia Regional Contest of the 38th ACM International Collegiate Programming Contest and two second prizes in the 23rd Contest of Software Design in Guangdong Province (Undergraduate group).

The Asia Regional Contest of the 38th ACM International Collegiate Programming Contest (ACM - ICPC) held in Zhejiang University of Technology on October 26th and 27th.  153 teams from 96 colleges and universities from home and abroad participated in the contest, including Tsinghua University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Chinese University of Hong Kong, University of Science in North Korea and National University of Mongolia. In Hangzhou, two ACM teams with Guangzhou University won a Bronze Prize and a Winning Prize. Later in Nanjing, the Bronze Prize winning team solved 4 programming problem, earning one more bronze medal for Guangzhou University.

The 23rd Contest of Software Design in Guangdong Province (Undergraduate group) invited undergraduate contestants from 15 colleges and universities. Among the 35 candidate works, both of the two works presented by Guangzhou University were awarded the Second Prize, namely “LAN Network Behavior Management System” (designed by HuangGuanlin, Huang Yiheng and Zhang Shimian with Liu Miao as the supervisor), and “Shen Kong Zheng Ba ”(designed by Huang Haiping, Zeng Fan and Liu Qinggui with Jin Zhengzhe as the supervisor). Besides, “LAN Network Behavior Management System” was presented “Enterprise Award” by judges from Sinobest Information Technology Ltd.
