ZU Students Won the Ninth International CAA Student Design Contest
The Ninth International CAA Student Design Contest has recently announced its winners. Undergraduate students Xu Tianjun and Du Liting of College of Civil Engineering and Architecture were awarded the first and second prize respectively.
International CAA Student Design Contest is organized by Commonwealth Association of Architects and is held every three years. The theme of the contest is usually in line with the theme of the United Nations General Assembly of the year. This year’s theme was “Housing our elderly: respectful, facilitating and accommodating”. 834 groups of college students around the world participated in the contest.
Advised by Professor Luo Qingping, Xu Tianjun, Du Liting and other Zhejiang University students submitted 6 programs for the contest after months of discussions and designing, and finally won the first prize and the second prize. A selection of winning entries will be published in the international architectural journal The Architecture Review.
