Establishment of FMG Scholarship in CSU
On the afternoon of June 18, Neville Power, CEO of Australia FMG and Xu Jianjun, Standing Vice Secretary of CSU’s Party Committee jointly signed the FMG Scholarship agreement as to encourage and attract more students into mining and metallurgy engineering learning, to cultivate more excellent students and to strengthen science and research cooperation in mineral processing between the two parties.
According to the agreement, FMG will donate 50,000 Australia dollars to CSU every year for five consecutive years, totaled RMB1.5 million. Two thirds of the scholarship will be granted for excellent undergraduates and the rest for postgraduates. Each winner will get RMB5, 000 Yuan. Besides, FMG is going to select outstanding students from those winners to have an internship in related department of their company.
Standing Vice President Huang Jianbai granted the letter of appointment to Neville Power as guest professor of CSU.
