China Exploration Final Competition closed at China University of Petroelum

Initiated by the Ministry of Education and the National Collegiate Athletic Association, China Exploration (“留动中国”) has been the largest-scale international student activity nationwide so far. It aims to providing a stage for international students to further experience Chinese culture and promoting the in-depth communication between international students and Chinese students. Focusing on sports and cultural knowledge, the competition comprises of basketball games, orienteering, talent shows, cultural knowledge quizzes and featured performance.
 
For the past 6 months, universities across China had been first prepared and involved in competitions at provincial levels. Then, starting on March 28th, students from over 100 universities participated in sessions in Yunnan, Shanghai, Fujian, Anhui, Hubei, Shaanxi, Tianjin, the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and Jilin. A total of 28 outstanding teams qualified themselves for the China Exploration Final Competition.
 
The four-day China Exploration Final Competition and Awards Ceremony were held at China University of Petroleum (Huadong) in the beautiful coastal city of Qingdao from May 30th to June 2nd. Apart from the competitions, the 28 teams were also scheduled for exciting sightseeing and culture discovery around Qingdao. China CCTV-4 and CCTV-5 broadcasted the Final Competition and the whole process of the Awards Ceremony.
 
China University of Petroleum (Huadong) won the Outstanding Organization Award, the fifth place in Orienteering and the ninth place of Group Performance out of 28 teams.
