The 9th Postgraduate Simulated Communication Contest of Jiangsu University

Today on the 6th of June, 2013, a four member team (Ziyad, Eric, Tevita and Ethel) from the School of Management had the opportunity to display their academic and oral presentation skills at the 9th Postgraduate Simulated Communication Contest of Jiangsu University. This was a competition organized and hosted by the Graduate School and School of Foreign Languages. The event was held at the main auditorium of the Postgraduate Building. The main objective was to sensitize post graduate students to attach importance to excellent academic communication and delivery with Power Point Presentation.
 
It is worth mentioning that the programme was very wellorganized; no wonder the venue was filled to capacity especially by Chinese students. In attendance were Mr. Weidong Shi--the Vice President and dean of the Graduate School, Mr. Jie Lu--Vice dean of the Graduate School, Mr. Charles (Xinchao Li)--Vice dean of the Overseas Education College and Mr. Lin Zhang & Mr. Weiping Chen--Vice deans of School of Foreign Languages, and the other professors to grace the occasion.
 
It was indeed a privileged and an honor to join the hard working and talented Chinese teams who had emerged winners of the preliminary contest for such an exciting, academically stimulating and healthy contest. Though challenged by the short time that was available to the International students’ team to prepare, they did justice to the opportunity; it was a useful exercise that has equipped them with enough experience to sweep the first prize next time.
