YUFE and New Zealand College of Business Explored to Launch Practical Cooperation

On the afternoon of April 25 th , Tommy Ho, Chairman of the board of directors from New Zealand College of Business led a delegation of two people to visit YUFE and held a live consulting conference on studying overseas in New Zealand. Director Wang Rongdang held a talk with the delegates.

Wang Rongdang expressed his gratitude for the warm and friendly reception of New Zealand College of Business. He made an introduction to the Sino-foreign schooling programs, multi-national students’ exchange programs, MBA students’ internship programs and Shangri-la Educational Alliance of YUFE, together with the trend towards internationalization. He announced that the collaborative agreement signed in March had set a beneficial foundation for bilateral cooperation. He also suggested both sides could initiate simple programs and then gradually promote further cooperation. He said YUFE hoped to enhance the Sino-foreign curricular courses and postgraduates’ overseas internship program besides degree program. As New Zealand College of Business had thorough research and management experience, both sides could discuss the issue about cooperation with higher education institutions in Australia and New Zealand.

Tommy Ho elaborated the advantages of studying in New Zealand and gave consent to Director Wang Rongdang’s point of view. He stated that conditions of job hunting was not very satisfactory for overseas students in China, which was mainly due to the lack of overseas working experiences. He thought highly of the overseas internship program and suggested both sides to adopt bi-tutorial mechanism thus facilitating students to conduct overseas internship during the span of dissertation writing.

Wang Rongdang suggested to conduct the short-term program within three months on the aspect of postgraduate overseas internship. New Zealand College of Business took charge of designing program paths and contacting renowned enterprises, offices or transnational corporations in Australia and New Zealand for offering internship platforms. After the establishment of collaborative mechanism and scale, YUFE could insert the contents of the program into the leaflets for promotion. Tommy Ho said he would convey Director Wang’s advice to relevant departments when he went back and would play an active part in promoting bilateral cooperation.

This visit was the first revisit of the delegation of New Zealand College of Business since March when the delegation of YUFE paid a visit to New Zealand and signed the collaborative agreement, which was also the first step of launching practical cooperation.

On the evenings of 25th and 26th, the delegates of New Zealand College of Business held a live consultant conference to make face-to-face exchange possible for students of YUFE, during which short-term internship program and master’s degree program were ellaborated. Students showed great interest in studying overseas in New Zealand which created a heated air.
