Hubei Vice Principal Kisses Pig to Reward Students for Not Littering
Students gathered round excitedly on April 28 to watch as their vice-principal gingerly fulfilled his promise to them and smooched a pig at the school’s flag waving ceremony.
The stunt was actually for a noble cause, as it was all in the name of reducing littering around the school. Vice-Principal Yao Ming Hong had noticed that the terrible attitude of the students had lead to the streets around the school being littered with garbage: “One morning I saw a girl throw a milk carton on the floor; she was right next to a trash can!”
He knew something had to be done, so he announced during the school’s monthly flag raising ceremony that if the kids managed to reduce the litter around the school to an acceptable standard, he would kiss a pig in front of the entire student body.
The move was incredibly effective and over the next month, the garbage levels on the streets around the school dropped significantly, so yesterday morning, Yao Ming Hong made good on his promise and kissed a pig to the delight of his watching students.
The kiss has garnered a lot of attention on Weibo with netizens praising the vice-principal for his gung ho attitude and creative education techniques. One Weibo user even described him as ‘the perfect vice-principal’.
