Traditional Thai Festival at GDUFS
Dec. 10h--The curtain rose at GDUFS marking the opening ceremony of the Water Lantern Festival, also known as the Tail Loy Kra Thong Festival. This is a traditional Thai celebration. During the celebration, it is customary for people in Thailand to make water lanterns, dance and sing, and hold a Thai-style parade where they put lanterns all along the rivers. This year, GDUFS students got to witness the splendor and fascination of this Thailand national festival right on campus, tasting traditional Thai food and feasting their eyes on the glamourous Water Lantern Ladies.
