In late February, SUFE went through its selection process to identify outstanding 1st-year students. Students were very enthusiastic about attending the test and enrollment was brisk up to the deadline in December. After a rigorous overall assessment, SUFE chose several highly qualified students to participate in the examinations. English and math skills were tested on the core examination while the cultural examination tested student prowess in artistic and athletic genres.
In all, SUFE’s services for candidates were greatly improved this year. SUFE not only published candidate notes online in advance but also provided helpful information concerning hotels, parking, and much more. In addition, Guidance Center Director Yuxu Tan held a lecture for parents on the afternoon of the 23rd. During the test, Vice President Lanjuan Liu and Presidential Assistant Lingzhen Yao patrolled the examination grounds and spoke very highly of the examination staff’s hard work.
