The Story of Mr. Strawberry

On April 4th in 2015, the first batch of strawberries was delivered to the customers successfully. It took several staff nearly 5 hours from picking to carefully packing the strawberries . I didn’t feel relieved until getting the feedback from the customers that all the strawberries had arrived without damage. Four months of hard work proves to be worthwhile at that moment.

I can’t tell exactly when I decided to establish a strawberry brand for my hometown. All I remember is that when I was young, there was a golden sign saying ‘high-quality strawberry production base’ next to the highway in my hometown called ‘Liang Mu Xiang’. However, because of poor management, our local strawberries were not widely known. Even the golden sign was destroyed and removed eventually.

Maybe at that time, I started to think of changing this situation and reviving the popularity of the strawberry in my hometown but I didn’t know exactly how, until today.

I graduated from Wuhan University, majoring in advertising. The four-year education lays a foundation for marketing the new brand ‘Mr. Strawberry’ and the free academic atmosphere gives me enough space and resource to run my own business. Besides, I specialize in brand design after graduation. With all these background, I thought it was time for me to do something for my hometown. 

Thus came‘Mr. Strawberry’!

As a brand designer, I do all the VI design myself, from logo to package design. I consider ‘Mr. Strawberry’ as a good attempt to go through a whole process of brand image design. With high quality and favorable brand image, ‘Mr. Strawberry’ can definitely give our customers great enjoyment, whether in taste or vision. By repeatedly adjustments, the brand image of ‘Mr. Strawberry’ was born.

One of the advantages of our product package is low-cost and individualized design. We buy some ready-made materials and add exquisite decorations to them manually.

People always say that fresh food e-commerce is a tough business. Since the pilot marketing of ‘Mr. Strawberry’, we did meet with some difficulties, such as high logistics fees and continuous worries about the damage made to the strawberries during the transportation.

In spite of all these difficulties, we never lose hope owing to the support of our friends and our insistence of the initial dream. We truly appreciate all the friends who care for the development of ‘Mr. Strawberry’. Because of you,the second season of ‘Mr. Strawberry’ has the valuable chance to come to the market again. Thanks to the support of Wuhan University Debate Team, ‘Mr. Strawberry’ became the title sponsor of ‘the Freshman Debate Competition’. The construction of an offline store and processing plant of ‘Mr Strawberry’ has also been put on the agenda.

‘Mr. Strawberry’ is a young team and we don’t expect to become a legend. We just want to try our best to have a meaningful career when we are still young and prove that there are much more things we can do in the future.
