Program
1. Bachelor’s Program:
(1) English medium: MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine & Bachelor of Surgery):
Approved by Ministry of Education of China (only 34 universities approved in 2010)
Length of Schooling: 6 years (5 years’ academic study & 1 year’s internship)
180 seats in 2011
Over 55 compulsory courses and over 7 optional courses
Knowledgeable and responsible teaching staff

Length of Schooling: 4-5 years
School usually begins in early September each year.
Students will study in Chinese students’ classes.
Eligibility:
In principle, applicants should be over the age of 18 and under the age of 30.
Applicants must be healthy, both mentally and physically.
Applicant should have got the senior school leaving certificate upon registration with CQMU.
The applicants for MBBS program whose secondary education was NOT conducted in English need to provide an English level certificate or take an English exam organized by CQMU.
The applicants for Chinese-medium programs need to have passed the Chinese HSK test with Grade 3 of Elementary Level, or have a statement from their embassy which proves that their secondary education was conducted in Chinese.

School usually begins in mid-September each year.
Eligibility:
In principle, applicants for master’s and Ph. D. program should be over the age of 18 and under the age of 45 and 50 respectively.
Applicants must be healthy, both mentally and physically.
Applicant for master’s program should have got bachelor’s degree upon registration with CQMU and applicants for Ph.D. program should have got master’s degree upon registration with CQMU.
Applicant should have the recommendation of two professors /associate professors.
Applicants for English-medium program whose secondary education was NOT conducted in English need to provide an English level certificate or take an English exam organized by CQMU; applicants for Chinese-medium programs need to have passed the Chinese HSK test with Grade 3 of Elementary Level, or have a statement from their embassy which proves that their secondary education was conducted in Chinese.

Applicants should be registered practitioners who have working experiences.

Note:
1. All the fees should be paid in Chinese currency. USD drafts are accepted for those who are not able to pay in Chinese currency (Insurance fee can only be paid in cash of Chinese currency in the finance department of CQMU), but students are responsible to make up the balances according to the exchange rate on September 1 of that year. USD cash will not be accepted.
2. In the final academic year, the MBBS students who choose to do their internship in their home country or in other countries, other than in CQMU, only need to pay 20% of the tuition fee of that year. According to Nepalese Government, students from Nepal are not allowed to do internship back in Nepal.
3. Accommodation fee should be paid yearly.
4. According to the requirements of Ministry of Education in China, it is compulsory for every foreign student to buy insurance. CQMU is responsible to collect the insurance premium and transfer it to the insurance company. CQMU will only accept the cash of Chinese currency for the insurance.
5. For individual applicants, the application fee should be paid after they are admitted and before the Visa Application Form of Foreign Personnel (JW202 form) is issued.
6. If the undergraduate students need the bedding stuff, they can pay the deposit and get it in Overseas Students Office on new campus after their arrival. The deposit will be refunded after they pay such fee in the finance department later.
7. The damage deposit will be refunded as the case may be upon graduation.
8. Water, electricity, gas will be charged according to the actual amount of usage and paid by the students themselves. Expenses of food, outpatient medical treatment as well as inpatient medical treatment which can not be covered by insurance, transportation, internet and telephone etc. will be paid by the students themselves.

Optional materials: articles or papers written or published, certificate of awards, HSK certificate, English level certificate, other related documents (photocopy/scanned copy)

2. How to apply
Note: Before submitting the application, please make sure that the forms are filled correctly and completely, the form format is standard, the contents are authentic and the documents are complete.
(1) Applicants who will only apply for the program of CQMU:
Please submit application documents directly to Foreign Affairs Office of Chongqing Medical University by email or by post. Those who will submit by post had better first email the scanned copy of all the documents to us, so that we can check whether they are complete before they are posted. The Physical Examination Record for Foreigners can be submitted after the first review of the application documents.
