JNU Conferred a Visiting Professorship to Dr Roos
An awarding ceremony was held in IS on May 20th to confer a JNU visiting professorship to Dr Roos. After a detailed introduction of his academic achievements by Prof. Tang Shuze, IS Dean, Prof. Ye Qin, JNU Vice President presented the certificate to Dr. Roos, announcing a new member of JNU with warm welcome.
After the brief ceremony, Dr. Roos gave the audience a lecture on “Water and Stability of Food Solids” .
Dr. Roos is a professor of food technology at University College, Cork, Ireland. He was Head of Department of Food and Nutritional Sciences, and Dean of Faculty of Food Science and Technology. He has an extensive track record of international collaborative research in the EU R&D Fourth Framework Programme, Fninish and Irish national programmes and industry, and has published more than 100 papers in his academic field.
