The 3rd DHL Bursary Ceremony was Held

On the afternoon of May 15, the 3rd DHL Bursary Ceremony by DHL Global Forwarding & Shanghai Maritime University was held at the headquarter of DHL Global Forwarding China Co. Ltd. Prof. Kong Fancun, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Vice President of SMU extended his cordial greetings to the grant-aided students, encouraged them to study harder and spoke highly of DHL’s philanthropic work. On behalf of the students, Prof. Kong Fancun also expressed heartfelt thanks to DHL.
 


Mr. Li Wenjun, President of DHL briefed on the achievements of DHL in recent years, congratulated the prize-winning students and welcomed them to get a job at DHL in the future. He also expected to further promote the two sides’ cooperation in a deep-going way.  

SMU Leaders that attended this ceremony, together with the guests jointly granted the bursary certificates to the prize-winners.

Prize-winners also visited and learnt the modernized warehouse, which was located in Shanghai Pudong International Airport.

DHL and SMU had reached a five-year agreement for this financial support in 2010. The former provided financial support each year to 20 SMU students who were financially difficult but perform well in study.
