NNU Art Troupe Performed At SUNY-SWUFE Confucius Institute

On October 19th, a art troupe from Nanjing Normal University (NNU) started its tour at SUNY-SWUFE Confucius Institute. Altogether over 300 people attended the event, including Prof. Jones, President of State University of New York, Prof. Stela, the new managing vice president and academic dean, Prof. Charles, director of International Education Department, faculty and students.

As the first destination, UNY-SWUFE Confucius Institute put great effort to ensure a success of the show. Apart from helping organize and promote the show, Prof. Deng Baian and Prof. Cao Dejun co-wrote and translated the program introduction.Prof. Jones, on behalf of the university, delivered an opening speech at the very beginning of the performance. He expressed sincere welcome and thanks to NNU art troupe. Academic Dean Prof. Stella highly appreciated Confucius Institute’s efforts in organiztion the show and hoped that it can contribute more to enrich campus and community cultural atmosphere.

The performance named China Impression is a gathering of folk music solo, ensemble and dancing, of authentic Chinese feature.It turned out to be quite a success.
