Delegates of University of Plymouth Visited SMU
On April 25, Prof. Simon Payne, Dean of Academic Partnerships of Plymouth University, Mr. Peter Ingram, Head of International Academic Partnerships of University of Plymouth, and Dr. Jingjing Xu, Professor of Business School of University of Plymouth paid a visit to SMU. Prof. Jin Yongxing, Vice President of SMU, Ms. Yu Hongrong, Director of International Office of SMU, and Prof. Shi Chaojian, Dean of International Education College of SMU met with the guests and held working talks. The two sides reviewed the development of cooperation programs such as joint training of Bachelor’s Degree, summer school program that prepared for the students of each side, and also exchanged opinions on the several collaborative projects in details. During the visit, the guests greeted the students who had applied for the 3+1 or 2+2 double degree overseas program of Plymouth University, and resolved their questions about studying and living abroad.
SMU and British Plymouth University had signed Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) in 2009. Currently, the two sides have launched effective cooperation in the fields of joint cultivation, exchanging teachers and students as well as research communication.
