Dean of Edith Cowan University Visited SMU

On April 26th, Prof. Lynne Cohen, Executive Dean of Faculty of Education and Arts and Pro-Vice Chancellor at Edith Cowan University Visited SMU. Prof. Jin Yongxing, Vice President of SMU and heads of relevant departments met with the guest.
Prof. Jin Yongxing extended his warm welcome to the guests. He briefed on the latest developments of SMU in fields of international communication, teaching and academic training. He pointed out that since the signing of the MOU between SMU and ECU, both sides have exchanged teaching staff. He hoped that the universities could expand their cooperative fields including student exchange and research programs.
Prof. Lynne Cohen said it's very delightful for her to visit SMU. She hoped that this visit could promote the cooperation in the speciality of arts between the universities.

Both sides then had a deep discussion on cooperative programs of staff exchange, student exchange, and "2+2" degree programs.
Prof. Lynne Cohen also delivered a speech to the students of School of Arts and Science of SMU.
SMU and ECU have signed the MOU in March 2012.
