The Minister of Engineering Ministry of Far Eastern Federal University Pays a Visit to HIT

Recently, Vice-President Ren Nanqi had a meeting with Professor Becker, the minister of Engineering Ministry of Far Eastern Federal University at the Administration Building.


Ren Nanqi gave a brief introduction to the basic conditions and communication and cooperation between Russian universities and HIT. He pointed out that the Far Eastern Federal University and HIT have known advantages in geography, a deep foundation of communication, and many ongoing forms of cooperation. He hopes that the College of Civil Engineering of HIT, together with the Minister of Engineering Ministry of Far Eastern Federal University, will establish the China-Russia Research Center of Polar Regions, in order to build a good platform for the students and faculty to carry out the academic communication, united scientific study, and so on, as well as to have deep cooperation on the areas including the frozen earth of cold regions and polar region engineering.


Becker highly praised the achievement in the areas including talent cultivation and science research of HIT, and hopes that the two universities, under the framework of ASRTU, can promote these advantages to establish the research center together, carry out deep cooperation into the polar regions, give great impetus to the united China-Russia talent cultivation, and give full play to the Far Eastern Federal University, the far eastern pivot of ASRTU.

During the visit, Becker visited the HIT Museum, the College of Civil Engineering, and the laboratories of the School of Municipal Administration.
